O lateral-esquerdo Caju, que ainda pertence ao Santos, agradou o técnico Jorge Sampaoli. O argentino, inclusive, solicitou a reapresentação do jogador nos próximos dias, porém sem sucesso.

Após ver vídeos de Caju no Apoel, Sampaoli viu uma evolução do atleta na parte defensiva. No clube do Chipre, o atleta atuou 40 vezes, marcou três gols e deu cinco assistências.

Somerset’s delight at Marcus Trescothick’s restatement of his batting pedigree translated into an excellent bowling display on the third day at Hove as they forced Sussex to follow on under heavy skies and then rounded upon them once more with such conviction on a sunlit evening that they even had the glimmer of a three-day victory.Ultimately, Sussex survived but it was a hollow achievement with only four wickets remaining, still 68 runs needed to make Somerset bat again and the weather set fair for the final day. Somerset’s domination of this match has been striking, their tread optimistic again, assumptions that they will again struggle to retain their Division One status thrown into question.Sussex’s openers met the challenge with pragmatism, but twice a flimsy middle order failed to meet the challenge. وتطرق للحديث عن مارسيل كولر: “هو تحدث معي بشكل إيجابي للغاية، لقد تعاملت مع مدربين كثيرين، لكنه مدرب مختلف ويتعامل بشكل رائع معي”.

وأوضح: “وتحدث معي أيضًا قبل لقاء سيراميكا وبيراميدز، وقال لي إنها مباراة تمثل تحديًا لي، واستطعت قيادة الفريق من أجل تحقيق الفوز بنتيجة 2-1”.

وأكمل: “مواجهة نهائي كأس الرابطة بين سيراميكا كليوباترا والمصري، كانت مختلفة وتمثل تحديًا كبيرًا بالنسبة لي، واستطعت قيادة سيراميكا لتحقيق اللقب، وكان التوفيق حليفًا لي”.

Hashim Amla has made himself available for consideration for the job of South Africa’s next Test captain. ESPNcricinfo understands Amla, who gave up the vice-captaincy of the limited-overs teams in February last year, has had a change of heart about leadership and has informed the selection panel that he can be considered for the role.That brings to four the number of candidates who will be considered to replace Graeme Smith, who retired in March. While AB de Villiers, who announced his readiness to lead in an interview last week, and Faf du Plessis are considered front-runners for the job, with JP Duminy being talked about as an outside possibility, Amla’s interest in the role adds a new dimension to the debate because he has been spoken about as a preferred choice in the past.Amla was picked as de Villiers’ deputy in the shorter formats of the game in July 2011. He ended up leading South Africa in what should have been de Villiers’ first series in charge in October that year – against Australia – because de Villiers was injured. He also led a South African XI in an unofficial tri-series in Zimbabwe in June 2012, in which South Africa lost to both the Zimbabwean and Bangladesh sides.But Amla’s reluctance to accept the position was obvious when he chose not to stand in for de Villiers in the 2012-13 season. De Villiers asked for a break from the T20s against New Zealand in December 2012 and was suspended for slow over-rates in the ODI series that followed. Du Plessis took over on both occasions.At the time, Amla was frank about his feelings on captaincy. “There is no point me being vice-captain if I am not going to captain when the captain isn’t around,” he said in January last year . Amla also asked for a sabbatical from T20 cricket for the remainder of 2013.However, when the new season began at the end of 2013, Amla changed his decision on T20 participation and agreed to play in a series against Pakistan. He opened the batting with Quinton de Kock and was seen as being a foil to the explosive young batsman at the other end. Amla was also part of South Africa’s World Twenty20 campaign where, although he was criticised for having a slow strike rate, he finished the tournament as their second-highest run-scorer, and only JP Duminy and AB de Villiers scored quicker than Amla among batsmen who played all games.It has since emerged T20 cricket is not the only thing Amla has changed his mind about. He has also decided he is not as averse to captaincy as he first was – news which, a source close to the situation said, has made the selectors’ jobs a lot more difficult. Despite Amla’s soft-spoken nature, he is seen as an automatic choice for leader because of his experience in the international game, which du Plessis does not have, and the fact that he is not overburdened by other responsibilities, which de Villiers, who is also South Africa’s wicket-keeper is. Amla has also captained in the past, which Duminy has not.He led South Africa’s Under-19 side in the 2002 World Cup and ended up as the third highest run-getter in the team with an average of 27.28. He also captained his domestic side, the Dolphins, ten years ago, in the 2004-05 season and although he asked to be relieved of his duties at the end of that summer, he also 1,000 first-class runs for the first time and scored his first double-century. Then, Amla was just 22 years old and said he believed he needed more time to work on his own batting.Now, he has had that time. Amla is regarded as one of South Africa’s most important batsmen in all formats, a role that will be enhanced in the absence of both Smith and Jaques Kallis. According to insiders, Amla has also been more vocal in the dressing room and added to the think-tank in the field which has made him seem ready to take over as captain.South Africa’s selection panel will make their recommendation for the next Test captain to Cricket South Africa’s board at their meeting on June 3. The board will then have to either reject or ratify that choice. The new captain’s first assignment is a two-Test series in Sri Lanka in July followed by a one-off Test against Zimbabwe in August.

A emoção tomou conta da reunião do Conselho Deliberativo do Botafogo, realizada na última terça-feira, no salão nobre de General Severiano. A sede do Alvinegro foi o palco da entrega dos títulos de sócios eméritos e honorários a pessoas marcantes do esporte do clube, envolvendo ídolos recentes do vôlei, basquete e futebol.

O que foi emoção foi, durante muito tempo, dor de cabeça nos bastidores. A pauta da reunião, inicialmente, discutiria uma possível entrada de pessoas indicadas pelo grupo Mais Botafogo, no qual Nelson Mufarrej faz parte, como beneméritos do clube. Após diversas polêmicas e a saída de Carlos Eduardo Pereira do grupo político, o atual presidente do Alvinegro resolveu que nenhum tipo de mudança estatutária seria discutida na reunião.

O futebol, é claro, foi o centro das atenções das homenagens. Jefferson, que se aposentou no fim do ano passado como terceiro jogador que mais vezes vestiu a camisa do Botafogo – 459 no total -, se emocionou ao retornar ao clube. Na última semana, o LANCE! havia adiantado que o ex-goleiro conversa com a diretoria para realizar ações junto ao clube.

– É um dia muito especial na minha vida. É muito bom voltar para a minha casa. Confesso que fiquei muito emocionado no meio do caminho. Essa homenagem vai ficar na parede da minha casa. Valeu a pena cada suor, treinamento, concentração, dedicação, tudo que fiz pelo Botafogo, recusar propostas, dizer não para muitas coisas para fazer história no Botafogo. Hoje é um sonho realizado ser reconhecido. Sou Botafogo de paixão e coração, torço para o Botafogo e vibro pelo Botafogo – afirmou Jefferson.

Outro ex-atleta homenageado foi Gerson. O “Canhotinha de Ouro”, que marcou época no Botafogo, onde atuou entre 1963 e 1969, se emocionou após receber o título de sócio-honorário.

– Ainda posso me emocionar, tenho esse direito. Porque estou na minha casa. Não deveria nunca ter saído, por mim não teria saído. Tive uma gloriosa carreira, que não teria sido tão gloriosa se não tivesse vestido a camisa do Glorioso. Passei seis anos no clube, discutindo, argumentando, com muitas alegrias e poucas tristezas, pelos companheiros que tive. Quero agradecer a todos, muito obrigado pela honra de ter jogado aqui e estar recebendo esse diploma – declarou o ex-meia.

Afonsinho, com passagem pelo Botafogo entre 1966 e 1970, foi outro que esteve no salão nobre de General Severiano para receber seu prêmio.

Cheguei garoto, cresci aqui, hoje recordei momentos no Centro de Memórias. Uma honra sem tamanho. Muito obrigado a todos do Botafogo – discursou.

Além dos três, personalidades dos esportes olímpicos também receberam homenageados. Arnaldinho, ex-jogador de basquete que ajudou o Botafogo a subir para o NBB em 2017, recebeu o título de sócio-emérito. Walner Santos, treinador da equipe de vôlei, que venceu a Superliga B e estará na elite da modalidade na próxima temporada, recebeu o título de sócio-honorário.

A torcida do Flamengo pode ficar tranquila: a saída de Gabigol do clube antes de dezembro – quando seu empréstimo chega ao fim – é tão “improvável quanto uma nevasca no verão europeu”, informou o jornal “Gazzetta Dello Sport” nesta sexta-feira. A publicação faz referência à possibilidade de uma oferta de compra chegar à Inter de Milão, detentora dos direitos do atacante.

No contrato de empréstimo de Gabigol ao Flamengo, firmado em janeiro, há uma cláusula que prevê a saída do atacante em caso de venda por parte da Internazionale. Caso uma transferência seja concretizada, o clube italiano indenizará o Rubro-Negro com 3% do valor ganho, de acordo com a “Gazzetta”.

Revelado pelo Santos, Gabigol foi comprado pela Inter de Milão, em 2016, por cerca de 29,5 milhões de euros, valor em torno de R$ 106 milhões na época. O camisa 9 não conseguiu uma sequência no futebol europeu, atuando 10 jogos pelo clube italiano, em 2016/17, e cinco partidas pelo Benfica, em 2017/18.

It meant that at the back end, a little bit of fatigue started to set in and fatigue sometimes plays with the mind. But overall, the guys stayed strong for most of the day. It had a little bit in it on the first day as the day progressed, and as the day has gone on, it’s got a lot better and better for cricket.”
