Há dez dias, Neymar da Silva, o pai de Neymar, afirmou que seu filho não jogaria no Santos enquanto o clube fosse presidido por Modesto Roma Júnior. Na última terça-feira, o craque reforçou a fala do pai ao chegar na festa de aniversário do surfista Gabriel Medina, realizada na casa de eventos All Kone, em Maresias (SP).

A briga entre a família do jogador e o atual mandatário do Peixe, Modesto Roma Júnior, teve início quando o Santos entrou com um processo contra o Neymar e o Barcelona, em maio deste ano. O clube paulista alega que foi lesado na negociação e que deveria receber um valor maior pelo acordo. O imbróglio fez com que o clube catalão enviasse uma carta ao Santos avisando que não pagará os dois milhões de euros de bônus devidos ao Peixe pelo fato de o atacante ser finalista da Bola de Ouro da Fifa.

O jogador também falou sobre suas motivações após ter conquistado todos os campeonatos possíveis com o Barcelona na última temporada, incluindo o Mundial de Clubes, no Japão, o último troféu levantado pelos catalães

– O que me move ainda é a paixão pelo futebol. Quero ainda mais conquistas. Cheguei no Barça para ganhar. A paixão que me faz ir para frente – finalizou Neymar.

Writing for football.london, journalist Colin Millar has tipped Tottenham to sign long time target and specialist right-back Elseid Hysaj in January – going on to hint that he could be a suitable replacement for Serge Aurier. 

Hysaj, who was targeted by Spurs fan favourite and ex-boss Mauricio Pochettino last year, could be sold by Napoli in January with the two parties yet to agree on a contract extension.

Indeed, his current deal expires at the end of this current campaign, and the Italian giants would want to sell him on for a profit rather than let him go as a free agent.

Hysaj still on the cards?

Hysaj, still only 26-years-old, could also represent a real bargain given he is only valued at around £12.16 million by Transfermarkt – something that could entice chairman Daniel Levy into doing a deal.

The player’s agent also stated that ‘he will leave’, with the defender’s future looking more bleak than ever at the San Paolo Stadium after he has been seeking a transfer for the better part of a year. 

Millar, writing for football.london, has explained that Hysaj could be a viable option for Spurs in January as Aurier’s potential successor – despite the summer signing of Matt Doherty.

The Ivorian’s future, despite him recently impressing, looks uncertain – and apparently boss Jose Mourinho would appreciate Hysaj’s versatility as an alternative.

Transfer Tavern take

Capable of playing on either the right and left sides, he could be a useful asset as he begins to reach his prime years, and Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis may be forced to sell for a cheap fee given the player’s contract situation.

Time will tell whether Spurs lodge a pursuit, but the ‘very intelligent’ ace could be a great option.

A diretoria do Vitória acertou nesta terça-feira a renovação de mais um jogador para a próxima temporada: o volante Amaral, um dos destaques do clube em 2015. Feliz com o acerto, o jogador, que estava emprestado pelo Flamengo ao Leão, revelou estar muito satisfeito com a permanência no rubro-negro baiano.

– Estou muito feliz por ter chegado a um acordo com o Vitória e pela renovação do meu vínculo por mais uma temporada no clube, que me acolheu muito bem. Não tinha como dar errado. Eu queria ficar, o clube queria que eu ficasse e o torcedor também. Agora é focar tudo em 2016 para fazer um grande ano – disse Amaral.

De acordo com Amaral, fazer um bom estadual e um grande início de Copa do Brasil podem ser importantes para a equipe na preparação para Série A.

– Vamos ter grandes competições em 2016 e temos que estar preparados. É importante ter um elenco forte e competitivo para fazer uma ótima temporada. Nosso primeiro passo, sem dúvida, é conquistar o Campeonato Baiano. Vamos ter tempo para trabalhar e focar nossas atenções na competição e no início da Copa do Brasil, para depois entrar com tudo na Série A – disse o volante.

Jackson Barreto, governador de Sergipe, assinou nesta quinta-feira decretos que retiram a homenagem a Emílio Médici, presidente do Brasil entre 1969 e 1974, na época da ditadura militar, do nome do estádio da cidade de Itabaiana. Agora, o local passa a se chamar EstádioEtelvino Mendonça, em homenagem ao ex-político da cidade, conhecido por seu trabalho em prol do esporte.

A mudança no nome do estádio, inaugurado em março de 1971 – durante o governo Médici -, é decorrente de uma recomendação da Comissão Nacional da Verdade e de pedidos da população sergipana.

-É uma orientação da Comissão Nacional da Verdade promover a alteração da denominação de prédios e instituições públicas que homenageiam aqueles que contribuíram para violência e afrontam aos direitos humanos sendo responsáveis por torturas, assassinatos de presos políticos e exílios durante o Regime Militar – explicou o governador, em declaração publicada na agência de notícias do governo de Sergipe.

Além do estádio, as escolas “Presidente Médici”, “Castelo Branco” e “Costa e Silva”, em Aracaju, passarão a se chamar, respectivamente, Nelson Mandela, Paulo Freire e Professor João Costa.

Glasgow Rangers delivered a big statement by beating Aberdeen at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon to send Steven Gerrard’s side six points clear of Celtic at the summit of the Scottish Premiership.

The 54-time Scottish champions struck twice in the first half before a goal from Scott Arfield after the break and James Tavernier’s eighth penalty of the season gave the Gers an unassailable four-goal lead.

However, there was one notable absentee, as Bongani Zungu was nowhere to be seen. It’s since been revealed that the South Africa international is still injured and will miss tonight’s game against Benfica in the Europa League at Ibrox. Ryan Jack also remains a doubt after suffering a knee injury whilst away on international duty.

This means that Gerrard will be without the new summer signing for the next group stage match, whilst Jack faces a race against time to prove his fitness, which may leave the Ibrox boss short of midfield options.

It’s likely the in-form Glen Kamara will be recalled to the starting line-up, which means that Gerrard will have to choose from Arfield, Joe Aribo and Steven Davis to form the midfield three.

Aribo could be in contention with Arfield having played the past two games in a row but the former Canada international has been the trusted man for the big occasion in recent years.

Gerrard has spoken admirably about the Canadian in the past, once describing him as the “perfect professional” and admitting “he’s like the glue in the dressing-room.”

The 32-year-old became Gerrard’s first signing after the former Burnley midfielder signed a four-year-deal in 2018 and he has repaid the favour with consistent performances over the years.

Arfield has made over a hundred appearances for the Gers, whilst he has scored 26 goals and supplied 17 assists in all competitions so far.

Naturally, the new signings have seen him somewhat fall down the pecking order, as he barely featured for the club at the beginning of the campaign, whilst his contract is set to expire in 2022. But this could be the best chance for him to stake his claim for a place in the starting line-up.

The Gers are currently tied with Benfica at the top of the Europa League Group D on seven points apiece, with the two sides sharing the spoils in Lisbon at the start of the month.

Whilst the Super Eagles fought back to tie the first game, Gerrard’s side will be viewed as the slight favourites off the back of their impressive home record, but they cannot afford to take the fixtures for granted, and Arfield will want to put in another commanding performance to send the Ibrox boss a timely reminder.

It’s quite telling that even whilst we’re in December, Green still hasn’t managed to find himself a new home, and it’s a far, far cry from the kind of potential and career that many had envisioned for him when he was first making his breakthrough.

In fact, back in April 2016, it was claimed that the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool were all keeping tabs on the then 17-year-old, and that they had sent their top scouts to watch his performances.

It was even suggested that he was rated by club staff as being an even better prospect than Grealish himself.

Hailed as an “exciting” talent by Lee Bowyer after Charlton had signed him on loan earlier this year, Villa must take some serious responsibility over how things have turned out for the winger.

In total, he made just 48 first-team appearances for the Premier League side before his release, and there’s a real argument that those involved in picking the clubs he was sent out on loan to, really failed him.

He could have been left at Portsmouth following his impressive start there (he scored five times in ten games), and then barely played at all for Preston North End last season, before eventually being sent to Charlton for the second half of the campaign.

It was just a case of complete mismanagement, and it’s criminal that one of their most promising talents wasn’t given the best tools to really prove his worth at the club.

O Campeonato Carioca ainda não começou, mas já tem time esbanjando beleza. Há quatro temporadas no Boavista, a nutricionista paraguaia Rossana Torales é responsável por melhorar o desempenho dos jogadores e abrilhantar os corredores do clube de Saquarema. Aos 27 anos, nove deles no Rio de Janeiro, a musa já chegou a trabalhar como modelo comercial, porém deixou a função de lado pelo amor à nutrição e ao futebol.

Mesmo com a rotina corrida por conta da pré-temporada, Rossana conversou com o LANCE! e contou como é seu dia a dia dentro de um universo tão masculino. Ela admitiu já ter recebido presentes ecantadas de pretendentes, porém elogiou o respeito que sempre demonstraram por sua pessoa.

– Cantadas e presentes são normais em qualquer lugar, tudo depende da forma como a mulher se posiciona frente a isso. No Boavista, o clima é maravilhoso, pois existe muito respeito e profissionalismo. Ter postura profissional frente aos jogadores é fundamental e este comportamento me mantém dentro do futebol. Não há espaço para misturar o trabalho com outras coisas – disse Rossana, que sonha com uma boa campanha do Boavista neste Estadual:

– Objetivo do Boavista é fazer um belo campeonato ealcançar voos altos. Estamos trabalhando fortemente para isso.

Rossana Torales ajudou o Boavista a conquistar grandes feitos. Em 2013, logo no primeiro ano com a paraguaia, o clube terminou o Estadual como vencedor do Torneio Extra, sendo o melhor entre os clubes de menor investimento. Um ano depois, o Boavista sagrou-se campeão da Taça Rio, novamente sendo o primeiro colocado entre os clubes de menor porte. Rossana contou que já recebeu oferta de um clube de fora do Brasil, porém ela recusou o chamado:

– Já fui convidada por um time de fora do Brasil, mas não pude aceitar, pois tenho meu consultório na Barra da Tijuca e não posso ficar muito tempo fora.

De fato, Rossana já fincou raízes no Rio de Janeiro. Neste ano ela desfilará pela terceira vez no Carnaval carioca. Após sair pela Mangueira e pela União da Ilha do Governador, respectivamente em 2014 e 2015, agora ela será destaque na Imperatriz Leopoldinense. Empolgada, a paraguaia tem se dedicado para apresentar o melhor de sua forma no desfile, em 9 de fevereiro.

– Serei destaque na Imperatriz e estou me preparando para isso. Mesmo com a pré-temporada, estando há duas semanas concentrada com os jogadores e comissão técnica, tento conciliar meus treinos com o trabalho – destacou a musa, que frequentemente posta fotos e vídeos de seus treinos nas redes sociais, buscando inspirar seus seguidores a terem uma vida saudável.

Sucesso no futebol, na nutrição e nas redes sociais, Rossana Toralesrevela que já recebeu propostas de revistas masculinas para posar nua. As ofertas foram muitas, porém não fizeram a cabeça da paraguaia:

– Já recebi várias propostas para posar em diversas revistas masculinas. Nada contra, acho legal, mas hoje estou focada no Boavista e no meu consultório.
