وقال جوارديولا في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “espn” العالمية: “ليس لدينا هذا السلاح الذي تمتلكه الفرق الأخرى، مثل تشيلسي ومانشستر يونايتد أو توتنهام أو فرق أخرى، لذا يتعين علينا استخدام ما يمكننا القيام به كفريق”.
وأضاف: “ليس لدينا لاعب يمكنه تسجيل 25 هدفًا في الدوري لنفسه، لذا يتعين علينا القيام بذلك كفريق، هذا ما سنحاول أن نفعله الموسم الحالي”.
ويلتقي مانشستر سيتي مع تشيلسي ظهر اليوم السبت في قمة منافسات الجولة السادسة من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.
واستمر: “لن أنكر ماهية اللاعب روميلو لوكاكو، كان تشيلسي قويًا بالفعل ومعه أقوى الآن، إنه فريق أقوى من الموسم الماضي ولكن هذا هو التحدي، لن أقول إنني حزين أو محبط من الفريق الذي لدينا”.
وأكد: “نحن أبطال الدوري الإنجليزي، نحن الوصيف في دوري أبطال أوروبا، لقد فزنا بكأس كاراباو وصعدنا إلى نصف نهائي كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي، عندما يكون الفريق لائقًا، أعرف ما يمكننا القيام به لأننا فعلنا ذلك على مدار سنوات عديدة بالفعل”.

واختتم: “لقد نجونا من دون أجويرو بطريقة جيدة في الطريقة التي لعبنا بها، هناك خيارين متوافرين لدينا الآن، الشكوى أو القول بأن لدينا لاعبين استثنائيين”.
Manchester United could make a ‘huge’ profit if Crystal Palace sell Wilfried Zaha this summer, according to reports.
The 17-cap Ivory Coast international has told Palace that he wants to leave Selhurst Park following the conclusion of the campaign.
According to The Sun, Man United could earn a £17.5m windfall on their former winger in the transfer window. United chiefs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward may receive a boost to their transfer kitty which might help them sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the process.
Eagles manager Roy Hodgson is ready to let him leave if the right offer arrives but his representatives are worried that Palace could scupper their plans as they are demanding at least £70m in the summer.
Zaha was angry after Palace chairman Steve Parish slapped an astonishing £100m price tag on his head to ward off any potential suitors last year.
Of course, everything hinges on whether or not the Eagles will be able to sell the 27-year-old in the summer, but United could increase their sizeable transfer kitty for practically no effort at all.
The Ivorian’s time at Old Trafford will forever be remembered as an unfortunate blemish on his career, although he may end up doing his old club a massive favour.
Zaha was the final signing made by Sir Alex Ferguson before he retired as Man United manager, originally moving to the Theatre of Dreams from Selhurst Park for £15m in January 2013. However, he was promptly loaned back to his boyhood club, helping Palace gain promotion to the Premier League.
He struggled for consistency under David Moyes, Ferguson’s successor, before being loaned out to Cardiff City in 2014, and finally returned to Palace on a permanent deal in 2015.
United shrewdly attached a sell-on clause in the contract which could benefit the club’s pursuit of Sancho several years later. The Red Devils seem to be at a standstill with Dortmund with both clubs roughly £20m apart on their respective valuations.
Woodward will likely use the extra cash generated by Zaha’s potential sale to get closer to the German giants’ valuation as a little goes a long way.

TROY PARROT – HIS CAREER SO FAR
By now, even though he is only 18 years old, Troy Parrott is a name most football fans are aware of. The young centre-forward is largely believed to be one of the be hottest prospects that Tottenham Hotspur currently have in their squad. Still, with there being a huge need to give him much more playing time than Jose Mourinho can currently offer, Parrott was sent out on loan to Millwall for the upcoming 2020/21 season.
The Dublin-born talent started his youth career at Belvedere, one of the local clubs, but was scouted and signed by Spurs really quickly. So in 2017, he moved over to London and two years later, upon celebrating his 17th birthday, he would sign the first professional contract with the club. It was also that same year that he made his senior appearances for the club, the first of which came during Spurs’ tour of Asia in July 2019, having previously trained with the first-team on numerous occasions throughout 2018/19.
And since we are talking about an extremely talented young man, he wouldn’t exactly have to wait for too long to get his debut. It arrived in the Carabao Cup third-round tie at Colchester United, just a couple of months after his first appearance for the seniors ever in pre-season friendlies. And this is when things finally started happening for the now 18-year-old starlet.
In November, he was called up for a Premier League clash for the first time and ended up sitting on the bench as Spurs drew 1-1 with Everton. Some time later that same month, he would also debut for Northern Ireland, even recording an assist along the way. But it’s in Spurs’ youth squads that Parrott shined the most.
He played 14 games for the U18s, scoring 17 goals and assisting three. After that, he appeared 14 times for the U23s as well, tallying five goals and one assist on the side. The best stint, however, was probably with the UEFA U19 team, as he became the U19 UEFA Youth League top-scorer for the 2019/20 campaign, ending his stay with the team with nine goals in nine appearances in total.
In December 2019, Parrott would finally get his Premier League debut as he came off the bench in a 5-0 routing of Burnley at home. The most recent thing to happen was, of course, the decision to send him out on loan to Millwall for the upcoming season, where he’ll hopefully get enough game time and return back a much-improved player.
TRANSFER LATEST
At the moment, there don’t seem to be many transfer news or transfer rumours circulating around Parrott. Of course, that was not the case just a couple of weeks earlier. The 18-year-old had been linked with a potential loan deal away from Spurs and it was finally announced that he would join Millwall for the upcoming 2020/21 season.
There are no other Tottenham Hotspur transfer rumours that would suggest a major twist in this story as he is very much expected to return back home and eventually slot right into the first-team, competing in the Premier League.
For now, however, we’ll be watching the youngster in the Championship.
PLAYER PROFILE
Just a simple glance at Parrott’s earlier stints in the academy and Spurs’ U18 and U23 squads is enough to see the young striker is as lethal as they come. He combines great movement and anticipation with a lethal strike and will always be a nuisance and danger in the opposition’s box. Naturally, some of his best attributes do include good shooting and dribbling abilities.
Combined, these two traits make Parrott a very tricky player to mark, especially when he’s constantly moving across the box and the final third as a whole. His main zone of operation seems to be the penalty area but he likes to drift just outside of it where he can link up with his teammates and potentially unbalance the opposition’s defensive line by dragging markers out of their position.
This part of his player profile is largely underrated because despite often setting his teammates up for a shot at goal, he doesn’t necessarily record exceptional assist tallies. Still, he seems to be much more than just a fox-in-the-box.
West Brom are back in the big time despite a less than impressive title run-in and they may well have to compete without one of last season’s popular stars, but Luke Dowling can soften that blow with one new addition…
What’s the word?
According to Aksam (via Sport Witness), the Baggies continue to be linked with a move for Besiktas attacker Adem Ljajic this summer.
It’s claimed that the Serbian international could leave the Super Lig outfit as they want him off the wage bill – Andreas Iniesta’s Vissel Kobe are also interested.
Albion boss Slaven Bilic has previously managed in the Turkish league with the Black Eagles and has been linked to both Domagoj Vida and Vedat Muriqi too.
Soften the blow
The Hawthorns faithful may have seen the last of loan star Grady Diangana after he delivered eight goals and six assists on their way to the runner-up spot.
It is thought that David Moyes wants the 22-year-old to play a key part in east London next season, which would seemingly close the door on a fairytale return to the west Midlands.
But in Ljajic, Dowling and Bilic can soften that blow.
The 28-year-old is capable of playing anywhere behind the striker, so that’s one tick in the Croatian’s one-up-top system and despite Besiktas struggling for third place, Ljajic was more than impressive.
Per WhoScored, the playmaker provided seven goals and six assists, averaging 2 shots, 2 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per game whilst a passing accuracy rate of nearly 90% for his position is pretty outstanding.
It’s no wonder Serie A powerhouse and ex-Rome teammate Radja Nainggolan described Ljajic as “different class” back in 2014.
As per Fanatik, he could cost the Baggies just £6m, which is quite the bargain considering he’s valued above that by Transfermarkt and has racked up 45 caps on the international stage.

– Foi uma conversa muito séria, de que a concentração não pode ser perdida em um jogo importantíssimo como o de ontem (domingo), e principalmente, quase 30 mil pessoas estavam no Allianz Parque ontem. – Essa falta de concentração talvez seja a maneira mais simplista que tem para avaliar o que aconteceu nesses últimos jogos. Por mais que seja um time pequeno ou médio, está na Primeira Divisão e merece respeito, mas o Palmeiras tinha a intenção de ser campeão do Brasileiro de 2015. Com o número de pontos bobos que a gente perdeu, a gente estaria brigando até com o Corinthians – completou o dirigente.
