Wolverhampton Wanderers have now been handed an opportunity to sign an “unbelievable” Premier League attacker, according to a report.

Wolves remain in relegation dogfight

The Vitor Pereira era is off to a largely positive start, but Wolves are outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone, and Ipswich Town have started to put in some improved performances over the past few weeks.

As such, the Old Gold may have to strengthen this January to give themselves the best possible chance of avoiding the drop, and it is vitally important they sign a new centre-back, given their very poor defensive record.

Pereira has moved swiftly to rectify his side’s defensive woes, having now reached an agreement to sign Stade Reims’ Emmanuel Agbadou in a deal worth a reported €20m (£16.6m).

The lack of defensive solidity has been the main factor in Wolves’ disappointing first half of the season, as they have been impressive at times in an attacking sense, with Matheus Cunha already notching 10 Premier League goals.

However, the Old Gold are still looking to strengthen in midfield, having held agent talks over a deal for Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios, and they have now been offered the opportunity to sign an attacking midfielder.

According to a report from Caught Offside, Newcastle United have decided to let Miguel Almiron leave this month, with the Magpies looking to receive a fee of around €20m – €25m (£17m – £21m).

Almiron’s services have been offered to a number of Premier League clubs, namely Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Wolves, while there are also a number of foreign clubs interested.

Although he was once considered an important player by Eddie Howe, the Paraguayan has fallen down the pecking order at St. James’ Park, and it looks like he could be on the move this month.

Almiron still has a lot left to give

Although the 30-year-old is out of favour at Newcastle, there is no reason why he wouldn’t be a good signing for Wolves, having proven himself in the Premier League over a number of years.

Former Hibernian man Tam McManus lauded the attacker just over two years ago, saying: “He has that pace to get in behind and he has been integral to Newcastle this season, there seems to be a real steel about Newcastle.

“It’s ever since those comments Jack Grealish made about Almiron, maybe that spurred him on. That can happen to a player.

“But Almiron, in any case, has been absolutely unbelievable for Newcastle so far this season and hopefully it continues.”

During the 2022-23 campaign, the Paraguay international bagged 11 goals in 34 games, and if he is able to rediscover that form, he could play a key role in helping Wolves avoid relegation from the Premier League.

John Simpson scuffed a pull to midwicket off Narine, before Jordan popped up with two more in two, Joe Cracknell to a good stooping catch from Curran at long-on and Andersson bowled through his legs for a first-baller, to complete a performance of rich promise on a duff note. Despite Green’s belated belligerence, it transpired that being adequately imposing was quite imposing enough for the Blast’s high-fliers.

Miles Hammond and James Bracey batted Gloucestershire towards safety before rain wiped out the last two sessions of the LV= County Championship match with Lancashire at the Seat Unique Stadium, Bristol.Only 19 overs were possible at the start of the final day, which began with the home side precariously placed on 99 for three in their second innings, just 34 runs ahead.Overnight pair Hammond and Bracey negotiated them with few alarms on the placid pitch, both reaching half-centuries in taking the score to 176 for three by the time rain started to fall at 12.20pm.Hammond was unbeaten on 58 and Bracey 55 when play ceased. An early lunch was taken, and play almost restarted at 2.05pm, with umpires and teams ready to take the field.But more rain started to fall and became heavier, to the frustration of the groundstaff, who had been on and off with the covers.Umpires Rob Bailey and Neil Pratt abandoned any prospect of further play at 3.10pm.Lancashire took 14 points from the drawn contest to consolidate their position in the top three of the First Division, while Gloucestershire’s 12 points (they had one deducted for a slow over-rate) left them still occupying bottom place.The hosts have still not won a Championship game this season in eight attempts, but will take some comfort from having competed well in a closely-fought contest.Bracey, eager to overcome a poor run of form stretching back to the second match of the Championship campaign, was positive from the outset, cover-driving the opening delivery of the day from Will Williams for four.Unbeaten on 14 overnight, the England player was the first to his fifty, having faced 90 balls and hit seven boundaries.Fellow left-hander Hammond followed suit in the same over, bowled by Jack Morley, having just dispatched the spinner over long-on for six.His half-century occupied 124 deliveries and also featured five fours. Sheffield United have now made their first move to sign a new forward for Chris Wilder as they look to bolster their chances of promotion back to the Premier League come the end of the campaign, according to a fresh report.

“I’ve talked about selling clubs or players who are loaned out – they want the best deal and they wait for better offers coming in as well. It really is that type of situation, but we’ve moved stuff forward, so I’m sure hopefully we’ll see some progress in the next four or five days leading up to the Norwich game.

“If I told you about one of the deals you’d find that ridiculous, but you have to wait. It’s a bit of a game of poker at times. But we’ve got players who want to come here, which is the biggest thing. And we’ve got owners and a chief exec who are working tirelessly to try and bring players in, which is good enough for me.”

One player who is seemingly on the verge of joining is Hamza Choudury, with a loan move on the cards for the Bangaladesh midfielder, while there is also hope that Ben Brereton Diaz could return too.

Now, Sheffield United have reportedly returned to Leicester in a bid to snatch another of their talents with a bid having already been made.

That comes as Football Insider report that Sheffield United have tabled a £7m offer to sign Leicester City forward Tom Cannon this month. The striker spent the first half of the campaign on loan with Championship strugglers Stoke City, and hit nine goals in 22 appearances.

He also found the net in the EFL Cup and in the FA Cup for the Potters and had emerged as a key figure for them, only for Leicester to exercise their recall option on the forward in the winter window.

During his time with Preston last season, Cannon was hailed as “outstanding” by Hull City boss Liam Rosenior, and there is understood to be significant interest in his signature this winter.

To that end, Sheffield United have made an opening offer with “a formal £7m bid” having been tabled, with the Blades having also been keen to land him last summer before he ultimately moved to Stoke.

As it stands, Wilder’s side sit just outside the automatic promotion places on goal difference. They will be hoping that attacking reinforcements in the second half of the season will help them secure an instant return to the Premier League.

ووفقًا لما أوردته صحيفة “الشرق الأوسط”، فقد توصل الزمالك إلى اتفاق مع إدارة الرائد لشراء المدة المتبقية من عقد أحد لاعبيه، لدعم صفوف الفريق الأبيض في الموسم الجديد.

ويأتي ذلك في إطار تحركات الزمالك لتعزيز خط وسطه، حيث تعاقد النادي مع اللاعب الجزائري يسري بوزوق، الذي كان قد انضم إلى الرائد خلال فترة الانتقالات الشتوية الماضية بعقد يمتد لعام ونصف.

وكانت الصحيفة ذاتها، قد أكدت أن الزمالك حصل على توقيع لاعب آخر من فريق الرائد، لينضم إلى صفوف الأبيض بداية من الموسم المقبل.

ورغم مشاركة بوزوق بشكل أساسي مع الفريق السعودي، إلا أن مستواه لم يلقَ القبول الكامل من جماهير الرائد، ما دفع إدارة النادي للموافقة على رحيله، ليستفيد الزمالك من خدماته خلال الفترة المقبلة، بحثًا عن لاعب صاحب خبرة وقادر على صناعة الفارق في المباريات الكبرى.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن الرائد يعيش موقفًا صعبًا في الدوري السعودي هذا الموسم، حيث يحتل المركز الأخير في جدول ترتيب دوري روشن للمحترفين برصيد 21 نقطة، بفارق 9 نقاط عن منطقة الأمان، ما يجعله قريبًا من الهبوط إلى دوري الدرجة الأولى “يلو”.

ومع اقتراب الهبوط، أصبح من المنتظر أن يشهد الفريق السعودي رحيل عدد من لاعبيه الأجانب والمحليين الذين تنتهي عقودهم بنهاية الموسم، بحثًا عن فرص جديدة للبقاء في دوري الأضواء.

أوضح الاتحاد السلوفيني لكرة القدم، موقف مهاجم الأهلي، نيتس جراديشار من الانضمام لمنتخب الشباب المشارك في بطولة كأس أمم أوروبا تحت ٢١ عامًا. 

وتقام بطولة أوروبا للشباب في الفترة من 11 يونيو إلى 28 يونيو المقبل وهو نفس الوقت الذي يقام فيه كأس العالم للأندية 2025.

وتواصل الاتحاد السلوفيني مع الأهلي لاستدعاء جراديشار للبطولة، لكن لم يكن هناك رد من إدارة المارد الأحمر نظرا للمشاركة في مونديال الأندية.

وأرسل الاتحاد السلوفيني بيانًا رسميًا حصل بطولات عليه لتوضيح موقف جراديشار من خلال مدير المنتخبات الوطنية، ميلينكو أتشيموفيتش وقال:

“نيتس جراديشار هو لاعب مهم جدًا لمنتخب تحت 21 عامًا، وقد لعب دورًا محوريًا في مساعدة سلوفينيا على التأهل لأول مرة في تاريخها إلى بطولة أوروبا للشباب تحت 21 عامًا، إنه إنجاز تاريخي لهذا المنتخب.

وبالطبع، نأمل أن يشارك نيتس في البطولة الأوروبية فهذا بمثابة مكافأة له أيضًا، وفرصة للظهور على أكبر مسرح للاعبين من جيله.

لقد أرسلنا بالفعل استدعاءً رسميًا إلى ناديه، لكن بخلاف ما نُشر في وسائل الإعلام، لم نتلق حتى الآن أي معلومات إضافية من مصر.

No final do confronto, Rogério Ceni acabou expulso de campo após confusão com o quarto árbitro Salim Fende Chávez, que pediu ao árbitro do duelo, Bruno Arleu de Araújo, que ele fosse advertido.

O treinador disse que saiu da área técnica para gritar com o médico do clube, mas que o quarto árbitro o provocou já querendo “um enfrentamento para dar o cartão”.

Na súmula, o árbitro relatou que Ceni deixou a área técnica e ainda gerou tumulto.

Para o STJD, Ceni infringiu as condutas do Art. 257 (participar de rixa, conflito ou tumulto, durante a partida, prova ou equivalente) e o do Art. 158 (assumir qualquer conduta contrária à disciplina ou à ética desportiva não tipificada pelas demais regras deste Código).

O comandante são-paulino cumpriu a suspensão pela expulsão no jogo seguinte, quando o Tricolor venceu o Santos por 2 a 1, no Morumbi. Na ocasião, o auxiliar Charles Hembert foi quem assumiu o comando da equipe.
